Can White People Be Allies to Black People? Throwing a Wrench in the Machinery of Racism

Alice Camille

Not for White People Only, this isn’t properly a “retreat” so much as hopefully an “advance” into the uncomfortable but vital conversation on race in this country. Our premise is that racism isn’t a Black problem, it’s a White problem. We must all rise up in consciousness and will together to overcome and defeat this sin.

Alice Camille, M.Div., is a writer, catechist, retreat leader and author of over twenty books on Scripture and church teaching. She is invested in ecumenical and interfaith conversations, active listening to LGBTQ+ communities and dialogue across racial and ethnic divides.

Rev. Paul Boudreau of the Diocese of Norwich, CT, provides provocative and challenging visual support to these presentations.
