Dear Friends of the Rock Hill Oratory,
As we enter the month of September, a season of change and harvest, we are reminded of the abundant fruits that come from faithful labor and generous hearts. Your support, given month after month, is a true harvest of love that sustains the life of the Oratory.
St. Philip Neri once said: “If you wish to go to extremes, let it be in sweetness, patience, humility, and charity.” Your giving is a living reflection of this spirit — patient, humble, and full of charity. Through your generosity, the campus is cared for, renovations continue, and our Oratory remains a welcoming home for all who come to pray, to grow, and to serve.
This September, we also thank you for helping to provide for Seminarian Br. Davi Melo, CO, as he continues his studies. Your support ensures not only his formation, but also that of the future seminarians who will come after him. As Cardinal John Henry Newman reminds us: “God has created me to do Him some definite service… He has not created me for naught.” Your contributions make possible the definite service God asks of those preparing for priesthood.
Dear friends, in this month of new beginnings and fruits gathered from summer’s labor, know that your generosity is a seed planted in faith. It grows into blessings far beyond what we can see — in classrooms, in chapels, and in the hearts of young men discerning their vocation.
On behalf of our Provost, Fr. Fabio Refosco, CO, and all the priests of the Oratory, we thank you. You are remembered daily at the altar, with prayers that God may bless you and your families with His grace, His peace, and His joy this September and always.
With gratitude and prayers,
Fr. Fabio Refosco, CO
