A Day with the Gospel of Matthew

As we soon begin a new liturgical year, we come back to Cycle A, with the Gospel According to St. Matthew as the principal source of our Sunday Gospel readings for the year. Participants in this in-person, interactive session will consider the overall structure and content of Matthew’s Gospel, its special themes and unique features, and the particular ways that Matthew portrays Jesus and his followers. It is highly recommended that you read the entire Gospel of Matthew (preferably in one sitting) before coming to the session.

Peter Judge is Professor Emeritus of Religion at Winthrop University. He has a Ph.D. in Scripture from the Catholic University in Louvain, Belgium.
