Dr. Harmon has taught in the School of Divinity since 2010, where he regularly instructs courses in Christian history, theology, and ethics. He actively participates in ecumenical work as a member of the Baptist World Alliance’s Commission on Doctrine and Christian Unity, representing Baptists in dialogues with Anglican, Catholic, and Orthodox churches, and serving on the World Council of Churches Commission on Faith and Order. Harmon is the co-secretary for the Baptist-Catholic International Ecumenical Dialogue Joint Commission and one of the world’s foremost Baptist scholars on the Roman Catholic Church. He is the author of several books on ecumenism, including: Baptists, Catholics, and the Whole Church and Ecumenism Means You, Too: Ordinary Christians and the Quest for Christian Unity.
