Saturday, August 26th was Play Music on the Porch Day. This world-wide event was celebrated here at the Oratory on the front porch of Newman Hall. The music was provided by the Yale Street Dulcimer Club, a local group of enthusiastic and talented mountain dulcimer players.
The idea behind this day is the thought, “What if for one day everything stopped … And we all just listened to the music?” It was a delightful opportunity to put aside worries and differences and come together around some enjoyable and healing music.
